A hands-on look at natures way of creating new plants from those around us. Discover the secrets of the seed and various techniques and timing of asexual propagation. Participants will go home with plants that they have propagated themselves.

A day at Flying Blue Dog Farm & Nursery, exploring the propagation and planting of medicinal plants
Eureka Coop Community Kitchen from 6:00 -7:30pm. Open to the public. Free.
We will discuss and demonstrate how to grow and use friendly medicinal herbs and simple ways to incorporate them into your life. We will cover the following: Seeding and transplanting, harvesting and drying, some simple ways of using them to benefit you, your family and even your pets health and well being. Some herbs to be covered include: Calendula, catnip, feverfew, spilanthes, echinacea, mint, gotu kola, milk thistle, some of those pesky weeds that seen to grow everywhere, and many more.
